Beans Bean, Good For Your Heart....

I can never figure out what it is about tooting and tooting noises that kids think is so funny but we discovered yesterday that the hilariousness of the tooting noise starts at a very young age. This happened once before I grabbed my camera and I am so glad I was able to catch it and get it recorded. Matt and I replayed this several times last night and laughed every time...

I Wear My Sunglasses At Night....

This was just too funny not to post....
Just another random evening in a diaper before bath time wearing Sissy's sunglasses.

Teeth!!

I finally got a good picture of those 2 bottom teeth. They were sure boogers for him to cut, but they are cute. They make him look so big!!

I'm A Model, You Know What I Mean....

Yet another entry about my attempt at the monthly Boppy picture, but again, this one was too funny not to share.

As usual, he was not at all interested in laying on his back while I snapped a picture of him, so he was squirming...

And then he decide to flip over and pose for me. I guess he thinks he is a model now.

Before long, he was off to the races and down the hall...

I chased him down and attempted another one without much more success...

And back over he flipped to pose again...

So much for a good "Boppy" picture, but it such was good for some laughs!

Swim Lessons!

Mommy thought it would be fun to put the baby in swimming lessons since he loves the water so much. The course is for four weeks on Saturday mornings for 30 minutes. Alex loves it. Plus two of his buddies from the play group are in the class too, Adalynn and Griffith. Here are a few pictures from swim lessons:

Going to the Tool Bench....

Friday night we were at Kathy's getting stuff ready for a yard sale we were having the next morning. I was down stairs pricing things so I missed this event but it is still funny hearing about it. Mom and Brittany were upstairs with Alex. He had just finished eating dinner and all through dinner he was "concentrating" really hard and bad smells were coming from him. I had been upstairs during dinner and had told mom he was probably leaving her a present since this is common during dinner. As I was headed downstairs she was getting ready to change him.

Apparently when mom took his diaper off it was a false alarm. Before mom could get a diaper back on him, he flipped over to his belly and took off crawling. He has been doing this a lot. He hates getting his diaper changed. I am told he crawled over to his toy tool bench, looked over at Brittany who had been complaining about being around if he had a dirty diaper, laughed at her, and pooped on the floor!

If only I had been there to see this!

The Babies are Turning 1!

May 3rd started the celebrations of all the babies turning 1 in the play group. Kolston turned 1 on the 3rd, Cody turned 1 yesterday, Griffith's birthday is today, Addy turns one on the 23rd, Liam on the 27th and of course Alex next month on the 23rd and Jacob rounding them out on the 30th.

We had our first 1st birthday party last weekend for Kolston. Katie did a fabulous job planning and organizing it and all the babies were there to help Kolston celebrate. It was a great time and it absolutely wore Alex out. He was asleep before I got out of Katie's driveway. Here are some pictures from the party.

This pool with balls was an excellent idea. They loved it!

Sweet little Jacob.

After we got a group picture they all scattered.

Addy is so cute! Poor thing kept getting hit in the head with the balloon Alex had.

The whole group! Not is the usual order but at least we got them together. Liam, Jacob, Kolston, Cody, Griffith, Adalynn, and Alex.

My monkey thought he was big enough to climb up to the slide in the bounce house. Thankfully he stopped here. I wasn't sure what I was going to do if he got further up.

Our Walking Monster...

Last Thursday (May 3rd) at 10 months and 10 days old, Alex decided it was time to give walking a try and off he went! He had been getting really good at standing in the previous weeks and was standing in the kitchen holding onto the front of the refrigerator. Matt and I were both in the kitchen and he turned to look at us and took off away from the refrig. He made it about 3 steps before getting too excited and going down. Luckily he is really good at catching himself so he hasn't had too many falls that hurt him. We took him into the living room and he walked back and forth between us. I guess he decided that was fun because he wore Kathy out the next day trying to walk every where. Each day since he has gotten better and can go farther and farther. I give it one more week and he will be full force. I love watching his funny walk and finally caught it on video:

It is so funny how he can go from 0-60 with learning things. He did the same thing with crawling. Once day he had no desire to crawl and the next day he was on the move. He is one determined little man and when he is ready to do something, he is going to do it! I guess Matt and I better be prepared!!

Into EVERYTHING!!

Our little monster is on the move, crawling and walking now (I will post about that in a minute) and is into everything! I know this shouldn't be a surprise but I still had to do a post about it. I left him sitting in the kitchen playing with a big spoon the other night while I ran into the laundry room to start the dryer. Here is what I came back to:

When I asked him what he was doing, he turned to look at me, held one of the containers out and laughed. Then went right back to playing. This wouldn't have been as big of a deal if just 10 minutes before he had tried to get into this cabinet and I had told him no. He got mad but started playing with something else. Then I leave for just a couple of minutes and he jumped at the chance to get into that cabinet. I tried to video him but he was too busy playing to acknowledge me anymore after the first time.

His other favorite thing to do is to knock things off of whatever they are on...books stacked on the book case, photo albums on the foyer table, DVDs out of the DVD racks, etc. His all time favorite though is to go into his and Reagan's bathroom and knock all the bottles of shampoo, baby wash and body wash off the edge of the tub into the tub. He thinks this is the greatest thing ever and therefore we have to keep the bathroom door shut at all times or we would never get him out of there.
